Greetings everyone,

The most amazing thing has happened to me! Last evening when I retired for the night, I was 25. And this morning when I woke up I was....a geezer! Truly!

None of you guys have experienced that...right?

Anyway, much to my surprise, I am nearing the ripe old age of 59 but I sure don't feel any different. What happens to all those years? I have been married nearly 30 years and we have one son. I forgot how old he is. *big sigh* Oh well!

I stumbled across your delightful site and have lurked to my heart's content. Hopefully, now that I have officially joined, the fun will begin.

It is pleasure to meet all of you. *waves (somewhat gracefully)*

Welcome sister, Love the name. Yes, I too went to bed (late) last night and woke up a little geezer-ish.

Now that your lurking days are past you, tell us more. I lurked a few days and just couldn't keep my mouth shut, so I joined. You are in for a wonderful time, believe me.

No, no, that hasn't ever happened to any of us. We all have 25-yr old bodies, beautifully scuplted with no sagging or cellulite. Right guys? JJ, show her the mirror in your castle that you stole from the carnival, k?

Welcome, welcome! I have two sons, and still have enough memory left to tell you they are 20 and 15. But they're names? Who knows!

Looking forward to getting to know you better...

Kathy

Yuhoooo whoops! -(short, fluffy Queen gathers up royal robes and comes running up the royal ramp waving her royal hand at SisterGoldenhair ... she trips ... she rolls, she regains her posture and takes off running again. She never learns, does she?)

Ahem, Yuhooooo! Hey hun! So glad you've joined us. You won't find another place on the NET like this one. No sir ree bobtail! You're gonna luv it here. Did you get your name after the song? Do tell us more about yourself, when you want to, that is. No pressure here, no spellcheckers, and no time limits or word counts. Just let her rip, tater chip...as they say!

WELCOME!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I really appreciate it. :-)

Hoolahoops? Oh man, I used to be really good at that! What fun!

Yes Your Majesty, many moons ago, a boy friend named me Sister Goldenhair. My hair is still blonde but there are few silvers in there among the gold. Oh, should I mention that it is a few inches below my derrière?

Montana is beautiful, mah dears, but very cold and the winters are very long. Summer is the play time around here. I do love it, though. My grandparents homesteaded here in 1914 so I am a second generation Montanan. I married a Texan, though. It is like the story of Lonesome Dove. However, he is good natured about it all and does not reveal that he shivers too much on the coldest days.

Welcome Sister! Montana is beautiful, I lived in Great Falls for one year, and although it snowed Memorial and Labor Day weekends, I enjoyed the horizons and maple glazed donuts!

Another hello everyone! I'm new here (read the article in the Sun - a few weeks later - but...) I just knew this would be for me! My husband and I are 12 years apart, so we span the boomer generation (He's at the beginning and I'm near the end.) Anyhow, I live in a house full of males, even our pets are male. I have 2 teenaged sons and on many weekends my house smells like a gym with all of the extra guys around An old boyfriend once told me not to complain because I've always liked being surrounded by men.

I'm enjoying reading all of the posts. It's nice to be surrounded by women too!!

Thank you, Sharon. Your kind words of welcome mean a lot! Oh yes, I love good humor, (pardon me, I mean "humour".)

MustangGal....Great Falls is the windiest place I've ever been in my life and I lived in Kansas for a couple of years. I do love the open vistas, however. People who live there are brave....very brave.

mitzkity....oh good, another blonde. I love my white/silver strands that are coming in....natural highlights. The only reason that I have long hair is I just don't know what else to do with it. Recently, I have discovered the wonderful world of updos. When my hair is up, no one messes with me. I have that mean old lady look.

Welcome, Lilkath! I too am surrounded by males - hubby, two sons, dog.... but I think I like it, overall. I know what you mean about the smell. My van smells like a locker room after my son goes out airsofting in the desert with his friends all day - ugh!

You'll really enjoy this place - looking forward to getting to know all of you even more.

It's kind of like bb guns, but with little plastic pellets - supposedly safer. The boys (15-16yrs) put on all their army gear and take their guns out to the desert have their war games. My youngest has always been into history, wars, guns, etc.

We try to indulge his interests in a safe way. He's also an active civil war reenactor - in fact, he has an event this weekend. He's been doing that since he was 9 years old. Very much a history buff.

Hi lilkath and welcome. After two sons, and two grandsons, I finally have a granddaughter. I know what you mean about the male thing! My SO and I have four pets, 2male, 2female, so we can at least be even. Of course, the girls team always wins! LOL

lilkath, welcome to our neighborhood. What part of MD are you from? I'm in Towson. Our big festival is this weekend. Are you coming?

I have two sons and a daughter. I know the gym odor you speak of. Also, my daughter grew up doing swim team in the summer so I also know the chlorine smell too. I'll take a car that smells like chlorine over the gym smell any day.
