Growing Up..at last

Growing Up..at last - 01/18/09 03:27 PM

The Poet that is me describing infinity, although
Sometimes, I forget about re-entry!
On these days it seems …
of little importance for shiny floors

Look outside,….look over there,
a mock ballet for someone
Who hung washing with delight by someone clever enough to
Re-define their world view.

Eyes meeting eyes as that seemstress repairs with love
Playing precariously from a duplicate pattern…

From a new life’s pattern
Ever evolving, ever growing
Ever lasting…amen

Love the poem and the link, Po. Never heard that version of "Across the Universe" before. Thanks. We must find time for a cup of coffee one day...or even a bowl of mussells at Belgos. You fancy?

Hello Chatty, yup...it's nice to have some time to do some reading and posting in'boomer'land again, thanks for the comment about my writing. Lola, cstching up for a coffee would be great..can we do Mass too please, sometime soon.
Yes Mom, I am on a little break..so between flat hunting, a little sketching and a little writing..I still manage to get the time to pop in for a wee visit. Thank you too Dee, I must say that I all too often forget how writing shifts and stirs me up in another type of creative expression which can lead to symbolism and imagery conveyed through poetry inspires all the more. It just keeps comming at this time. This is one of three written today,

A leaf flutters down and nudges by the seeds
that you planted there many years ago.
Did you know that some seeds of thought have wings\?
Look there, that flash of golden flame…
is it just a wind bruised leaf or an oracle of kind?
That crescent moon seems hell bent on guiding me into uncertainty,
and I care little tonight of it’s cosmic touch,
for it is veiled with trapped agate rays of sorrow
So if I chose to drop my heart down in the gutter…
the cause will be a certain sadness set never to repair nor reveal
Or blow on the dandelion…
knowing only too well it will not carry with it that one wish.
Oh these silver tears in vain,
do I weep, save from the majesty that is tomorrow….
When hammer strikes with my skilled hands
the precious metal
Forming something of dignified beauty,
inspired by the strain and joy
of earths mosaic and of late winters promise of spring.

Sure, Po. Will ring you for Mass at Westminster. Ash Wednesday is also just a month away. So, we can both go together as well.

Of course, Anno. And, memories of yours and Dennis' visit to our spiritual home will surely accompany Po and me. We will also have you and Dennis in spirit by us in the pews at Mass.
