Easier than Apple Pie

INGREDIENTS
1 refrigerated pie crust
3/4 cups sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
4 cups thinly sliced, peeled apples (about 4)
1 egg white lightly beaten
1 tsp. sugar

PREPARE the crust as directed on package. Place on foil lined baking sheet. If necessary press out any folds or creases.

MIX 3/4 cup sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon in medium bowl. Add apples, toss to coat well. Spoon into center of crust, spreading to within 2 inches of edges. Bring the crust up over apples to form a border of about 2 inches, pleating or folding crust as needed. Brush edge of crust with egg whites and sprinkle with teaspoon sugar.

BAKE in preheated 425*F oven for 20 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
