I was watching the NBC Today Show episode this morning which depicted an 'stalking' episode -- tried to find the story and paste, yet unable.

However, I did find a similar article by UTA Magazine below:

http://utamagazine.uta.edu/spring_2003/discoveries/stalking.html

So very scary that the average stalking lasts two years. A woman interviewed on the Today Show said she knew that the only way the stalking would end is with her death.

Sadly, these are true stories, and there are many more, yet not always told due to fear of disclosure, of not being believed, lacking evidence, etc.

The Today Show episode did state to document, document, document and have a back up! Whether it be a journal, photos, film (my cell phone films in motion), recordings (sadly it is illegal to record in my state and cannot be used as evidence), witnesses, strange out-of-place occurences (slashed tires, broken windows, stolen mail, hang up phone calls, unsolicited mail or subscriptions, etc.). Having a friend or confidant is helpful, too.
