Here's a little recipe from da Queen that you might want to file away and then bring back out for one of those wintery nights!

Indian Stew

1 lb ground chuck
1 large onion, chopped fine
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
2 tablespoons of flour
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 15 oz. can whole kernel corn
1 15 oz. chopped tomatoes
1 can tomato soup
1/2 can water

Brown meat, onion, and bell pepper - drain.
Add flour stirring really well.
Add sugar mixing good.
Pour in corn, tomatoes, soup, and water.
Simmer for 45 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.

Eat.

Lick the bowl. Bet you do...

Now, here's a little something to go with it.

Sour Cream Cornbread

1 stick margarine
1 cup sour cream
2 eggs beaten
1 cup cream style corn
1 cup self-rising cornmeal
1/2 medium onion - grated if desired

Melt margarine in 8" iron skillet or 8x8 square pan at 350 degrees.
Coat pan with margarine.
Mix the other ingredients until blended.
Pour the remaining melted margarine into mix and stir until blended.
Pour batter in hot skillet and bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes

So good it will make you slap your grandmaw...
