I actually think it's the boomers who have provided the economy some degree of stability because of the money they have saved and how they spend their money.

Boomers can't be blamed for living longer. That's their reward for trying to live healthier lives than previous generations? We can't also forget about medical advances that contribute to longevity.

As for the cost of the health care..hmmm how does one weigh elder care against the rising incidence of diabetes 2, obesity in children now? Pretty scary in about 20-30 yrs., unless the younger generations take drastic lifestyle change steps.
