Words: Sabbath, saber, sable, sabotage

A sneaky dark brown sable
slinked under our garden table.

Hid under the folds of the Rabi’s robe,
who on Sabbath, visited our adobe.

Suddenly he screamed, startling us out of our skins!
In panic, we asked forgiveness of all our sins.

You can imagine the terror in our eyes,
When out of his saber collar a sable did rise!
The rabi and sable stared in disbelief.
The rabi fainted, while crying, “Good grief”!

We thought sabotage was in the making,
Thought our world he was forsaking!
But with a splash of cold water on his face,
The sable ran away, and the Rabi said grace.
