hah, habit, habitable, habitat

To find yourself homeless,
Is no laughing matter.
And if you overhear, "Hah";
Objections should clatter.

Those down and out seem to have a habit,
Of abiding in makeshift dwellings,
Which really run the gambit.
Some use cardboard boxes, 'neath the railroad track,
Others use a cave or tumbledown shack,
Or leaky ole hut, afar in the outback.

But no one should forget, 'bout their fellow man,
'Cause Habitat for Humanity will lend a helping hand.
With much hard work and generosity so sweet,
They'll provide habitable housing,
For those who are bogged, in financial defeat.
