I have had my KRUPS mixer with stand for about 20 years...the label says "Manufactured in the Republic of Ireland". What a thrill it was to see this (No, not the first time I saw it, but just was reminded!)

What other products do you have that are NOT made in China, but in other countries, that have lasted a long time??

I look for Made in Italy or Made in America and they seem to last a long while....

Well, the only appliance that has not given up on me in 16 years is my Gaggenau microwave. All appliances bought at the same time with it lasted only 8-10 years. The only pair of shoes that I think they'll bury me in, as they do not seem to wear out at all, are my DM's which I have had for 25 years!
