I would like to share with you a new Education Project that RetirementLifeToday.com is undertaking:

ECHO PROJECT for Education

The project is called the ECHO Project – Educating Children on Historical Observances.

This project is designed to tell future generations about what it was like to live through major events in recent American history, such as the first walk on the moon, and what impact these events had on the lives of ordinary Americans. The project is also about how these events were experienced in the context of American society at that time, especially before the technologies of today (cell phones, computers, etc.) were available.

What we are looking for are descriptions about how people heard about or saw the event, what impact it may have had on their lives or the lives of those around them, and any other particular recollections of the event that may be interesting.

We are asking for your help. Contributors can write as much or little as you desire, and can add to events that are listed, or add their own event.

To participate, please go to http://www.retirementlifetoday.com/forums/index.php . There, participants can create a user name and password, and only your user name will be shown.

We would be grateful if you could passing on the word about our project to others (I’ve attached a flyer about the Project). Educators and future generations of children will appreciate any thoughts that your residents may desire to contribute.
