THE WILL OF GOD
The will of God will never take you,
Where the grace of God cannot keep you.
Where the arms of God cannot support you,
Where the riches of God cannot supply your needs,
Where the power of God cannot endow you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the spirit of God cannot work through you,
Where the wisdom of God cannot teach you,
Where the army of God cannot protect you,
Where the hands of God cannot mold you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the love of God cannot enfold you,
Where the mercies of God cannot sustain you,
Where the peace of God cannot calm your fears,
Where the authority of God cannot overrule for you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the comfort of God cannot dry your tears,
Where the Word of God cannot feed you,
Where the miracles of God cannot be done for you,
Where the omnipresence of God cannot find you.

Yes, I do love God! He is my source of existence and my Savior. He keeps me functioning each and everyday. Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens me. Phil 4:13

Speaker, are you referring to Romans 8:35-39? It is a beautiful statement of trust in the Lord and his love for us!

You're welcome, Diamond!

I can tell you paraphrased, but I like the "stupidity" reference! I often have to ask God to get me out of my own way...

Song, thanks for this. It's beautiful.

May I ask you what your answer is when soemone asks,

"How do you know when it's God's will?"

I'd love to hear your answers ladies...

You don't always know, this is why we trust and say "Thy Will be done..."

There is a book called "The Will of God" by Leslie Weatherhead, that talks about God's perfect will and God's permissable will.

Perfect and Permissable, interesting.

I asked because women have asked me how I know I'm doing God's will.

I get answers when I pray. I act on those answers. That way if I do something that may not have the results I expected, at least I know I prayed about it first and the outcome is what God intended.

Make sense?

[Razz] Dotsie, I understand that if I put myself in God's hands each day and ask Him to fulfill His purpose in me, whatever comes my way that day, He will see me through.

[Wink] Although he allows us to be tried, (as He did with Job) He's always by our side. I believe Job's story perfectly illustrates "Permissable".

[Cool] Also Romans 8:28 constantly reminds me that God can use all things for my good-even the trials and sorrows that the enemy brings my way!

Dots: Regarding "The will of God", at times we reap what we sow. The consequences of our choices are inevitable. That's why we need God's guidance in our day to day life!

I'm sure God did not intend Adam & Eve to sin. When giving them power to choose, He was prepared to rescue mankind from sin.
