Yesterday I took part in an impromptu book signing in Illiopolis which I used as the setting for my novel. They were having Santa Claus, festival of trees and the little mini mall, (yes, there really is a mini mall) was all decked out. I was there for just over two hours, no advertisement at all mind you, and I sold ten books. They have asked me to come back again for three hours today. They are going to have their little small town paper interview and take a picture of me. All together in the last week, I have sold 18 books and placed five more in a shop on consignment. I still have one other book store to visit, but I'm not having any trouble with stores wanting to add my book. It's available through Spring Arbor and Ingram. It will be nationally released in January.

I will admit, I'm a little excited. The made for TV movie didn't work out, but I feel it was an honor for my book to just be considered from the rough draft!

Hope all of you who have ordered from me, have received their books. I did send them media post as the postage is much less but I know it takes a little longer for them to get there. If you have read it, and would like to post a review for me on Amazon.com, I would love that!

Just had to share a little of my happiness this morning with all my boomer sibs.

Love ya,

Sherri

Never had any doubt they would love your book. There is more than one movie studio out there not to mention, made for TV movies which I prefer. Don't stop sending it around to them, its a good story to be made into a movie...Congratulations on your success so far.

Thanks Chick,

I felt the weekend went very well, and I sold almost 30 books just last week. Now that may not sound like a lot, but just from my own marketing and the book hasn't been nationally released yet, even though it is available for purchase on the net.

Thanks to all of you and your good wishes. I really do appreciate them and all of you.

One of my boomer sisters sent me an email and maybe I've been remiss in giving you the details of how to get it if you want one. You can order from me, just send a check for 17.45 which covers media postage and I will get it in the mail to you. Private message me for my address or send me an email that's ok too.

Thank you all for your good wishes and support.

I've been invited to set up a table and have a book signing at one of our downtown merchants during their annual Christmas Walk. There will be trolley rides, carolers and other attractions and of course the stores will be full!

Tomorrow night 5-8!

Keep me in your thoughts.

Sherri, Your book just arrived in my mailbox this morning and I'm so excited to get into it! Hubby's got an eye appointment in an hour, and I always end up waiting in a room that has boring magazines (I've tried bringing in my old ones, but they don't put them out!) Anyway, I'll be taking "Bitter Waters" with me this afternoon so I can start reading it!

Sherri, it was a long wait this afternoon, so I was able to read over 60 pages...I was hooked from the very first page! I was even a little reluctant to put it down when it was time to leave the doctor's waiting room!!! And can't wait to get back into it later this evening.

Congratulations, Sherri! This is a great story, very captivating and interesting.

I'm pretty excited. Not only do I have my books in most of the local stores, but on Monday I was invited to set up a table in one of the downtown merchants to be there for the annual Christmas walk. I quickly contacted the newspaper who got my press release in the next day and did a great job, third page of the paper where all the local news is located. EVERYONE who takes the paper reads that page. Anyway, I went last night, was there for three hours and sold nine books, and I have to deliver four more tomorrow. Many came in because of the press release in the paper and the store owner said they had a larger crown than they usually have and she was sure I brought in extra business. Their shop is a florist shop and gets very little walk in traffic even on Christmas Walk night. I'm pretty excited about how things are going.

I am supposed to pick a weekend in January and I will have a book signing in a local book store and the paper has asked to do a profile of me and my book right before the signing. I can hardly curb my excitement! Things are popping and it isn't even released nationally yet! I only have about 34 books left from the initial shipment of 125, so I think I'm doing pretty well. Course I don't have anyone to compare with, but I know I'm happy!

Sat on the sofa last night with a hot creamy cup of potato soup settled in to read your book, all of it. Three cups of soup later, I put it down, sighed a sigh of pleasure and went to bed. Beautiful story, interesting read....super job.

You read it all in one setting? Great, thanks for the kind words about it. I've had lots of good reviews. Don't forget, anyone who has it and would like to put a review on Amazon, I would be very happy!!

Well I was up until a little after 3:00 AM but 262 pages that flowed as easily as these did wasn't a hard read.
