When my daughter calls me on the phone, Sammie starts calling her name. Now, how does this crazy bird know that it's her? She doesn't call her name at other times unless she's home.

It is a proven FACT that each of us has a different sound in our voices when dealing with each and every loved one. Sammie recognizes the tone/sound you use with your daughter...

Anonymous Unregistered	Dianne, what time of day does your daughter usually call? Is it the same time every day? Do you have caller ID? If so, perhaps your body movements are different when answering her call and Sammie picks up on this inflection? Or your tone of voice? This is very interesting.

I watched a tv special on an African Grey and the owner swore the bird was psychic. So, they put her in one room and the bird in another as she looked at different pictures. The camera on the bird showed it talking, identifying the pictures she was looking at. It was wild!
