Just have to post about this because my 2 youngest are struggling through confirmation classes with their friends.

Getting them to go to church is one thing, but having them attend a 6 hour session on Sunday after church is another. Geezzz!

Thankfully for them it is almost over.

Must say though that they are learning whether they know it or not! They had to answer questions prior to writing their own statements of faith and it appeared to me that they know what they are doing!

Any other kids struggling with this?

6 hours after church? Why? My kids all took confirmation, and they went to catechism classes each Wednesday after school for an hour, along with their younger siblings. Then, the week before the actual confirmation ceremony, they attended a meeting with the parents, sponsors, teacher, and priest to discuss and practice the ceremony. It was very convenient, as the church was only about 3 blocks from the school, and the kids just walked to the church, then the parents picked them up after catechism classes, or they walked home, if they lived in town. My kids would have balked at a 6 hour session too.

oh goodness 6 hours.... and in such nice spring weather that must be tough....bless you!
Young ones today aren't always being raised with the right messages around them. I commend you.
