When I was in beginning labor the first time the African American woman in the next bed was really moaning hard as she was deep into labor already, she said " whatca looken at honey girl?" I said, "does it hurt that bad?" She half laughed through her pain and said, "feels like I'm shi---ng a watermelon." I soon understood exactly what she was saying, oooh ouch!!!

My definition of feminist is being exactly what God has called us to be. I believe that The Blessed Mother is a true feminist. She is nurturing, humble, obedient, modest, strong, loving, honest, faithful, kind, intelligent, gentle, pure, holy and selfless. Perfect woman.
I know I will never achieve all of these qualities perfectly in this world, but I must strive to be as much like her as possible, especially in her adoration of Jesus.
I don't see true feminism as fighting for power or recognition. The world needs us to be holy - therein lies true power.
My opinion.

Blue, absolutely. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ who guides us and walks with us through the Holy Spirit is the highest achievement I can seek. Everything else follows.

Also, I don't like labels (eg. feminist)because everyone's definition is different.
