While channel surfing in the wee hours of the morning, I caught one of those info-mercials for a natural makeup that covers age spots, acne, those red lines around the nose and mouth, etc.

Since I have tried just about every makeup on the market to hide several of those spots on my aging face -- I stopped to listen -- then got on my trusty puter and did an internet search for the product and voila' ------

Now ladies I am telling the absolute truth here -- THIS STUFF WORKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
It covers those red vein lines around my nose completely and KEEPS them hidden all day long -- with just a touch of the stuff !!! I just use a small brush to touch up where the age spots and veins are and then I use my regular powder foundation and blush after that.

It's expensive but I found a website that offers samples for $5.00 (and then $5.00 shipping) so you have nothing to lose by trying it -- and then if you like it as much as I did -- you can either buy it there individually or go to the website that is advertising on TV for the "club prices". Compare the sizes/prices on both sites.

I bought these samples back in June and I still have a little less than half of it -- so it goes a looooong way --

Here you go ladies [Smile]

There was a time when I wore no makeup at all. Time's a changing! [Eek!]

This summer I noticed my first age spot on my forehead. I also see more of the red splotchy stuff arrearing and I had some of that to begin with.

I guess I'll have to check this out.

Does it look natural? Like you're not wearing makeup?

Thanks lion!

Thanks Carolyn! I checked both sites out - these are two separate product lines - right? But both are mineral-based I assume.....I'm interested in knowing if it still feels "light" on the skin - I hate feeling like I'm wearing a mask!!!! I have some broken capillaries on my face too as well as age spots AND I also have a scar between my nose and lips from skin cancer surgery a few years ago. I have a tough time covering that up so have kind of just given up trying! Maybe this is the answer.....I think I'll try the sampler anyway - $5.00 isn't much to ask to check it out!!

Lionspaaw,
Not only does the makeup look interesting, but I love the brushes they are offering. I need a good set. Does anyone else have trouble with their makeup brushes like I do? Flaking, etc..?

I bookmarked the site. Actually, their power is not any more expensive than what I buy now. Course it last 40 forevers too. I like that in a product. Bet their's will too, eh?

The products are named differently -- but they are both about the same thing I'm sure

I put a little bit on the spots I want to hide and then do a "swish" over them with a bigger brush -- and it stays ALL DAY without ever "globbing" like the other stuff I've tried

I hardly EVER endorse things -- but this I really had to share !!!

Been buying and using the Bare Essentials for a year or so. I wear very little make-up and don't need much so just use this, no foundation or over powder. Light, easy to use and effecvtive. Yes, I love the brushes too.....Great product.

As I age, I've found that the less make up I use, the better I look but this means keeping my skin in good shape.

I go to my dermatologist and have a treatment called IPL (Intense Pulsed Light). It's fairly expensive ($250) but I only have it every 2-3 months or as needed.

It gets rid of broken veins, age spots, etc. and it stimulates the collagen so you slowly start looking healthier, prettier and your skin feels and looks like a baby's butt! I always have women ask me what I use on my face so it must work. [Cool]

Plus, my skin has started looking better since I began using sunblock. Made a world of difference.

I've been using Bare Minerals for over a year and receive tons of compliments when I do. It does everything it says, plus makes my skin look better when I'm not wearing it! Love the brushes - mine are a year old and going strong. The other product looks the same - just different name and maybe a difference in price. I recommend it to everyone.

I must be living in lala land here because I've never heard of this stuff.

Is this sold on television? If so, it's possible this is the same makeup 2 of my friends talked about on Girl's Weekend.

I jsut answered my own question when I reread Lion's post. Yup, I bet this is the same makeup.

Dianne, what you're doing sounds interesting. Thanks for sharing. I have two red blotches, one of which I've had as long as I can remember. I've considered seeing a dermatologist because the second one recently appeared directly under the other. I bet your procedure would take care of them. What do you think?

Dotsie, I think it depends on what the red spots are. You should see your dermatologist first.

The IPL gets rid of almost everything and especially things caused by sun damage. And...freckles too! My girlfriend also has it done and claims it's painful but I don't think so and I'm a big baby! It's a little more sensitive around the nose area but even waxing hurts more in that area! I would compare it to having a rubberband snap on your face. Oh, the price of vanity!

Thanks to everyone for all the information. I just checked out one of the sites, and I immediately purchased the samples and the brushes (even though I've been telling myself that I have to stop spending so much)! However, I was really impressed with the before and after pictures, and I've tried everything to try to hide the broken veins on the side of my nose and (I'll admit it) the age spots, too. Where did they come from? Thanks for the information and the verification of the information - I'm looking forward to trying this stuff out.
