Chatty lady, I wish I would have joined this site sooner. We just finished making our plans for Vegas in May. We are only staying there for ywo nights then renting a car to drive to the Grand Canyon to do some hiking. Is there a favorite spot that you like to go that you can share?

almostangel,

please don't mind me butting in - I went to Vegas for a conference last year...and just LOVED Margarettaville (can't spell it). It is a Jimmy Buffet restaraunt, the food is great, and the atmosphere is wonderful as well. (located in the Flamingo Hotel)

Danita, Thanks for letting me know.I am so ready for a vacation in the sun. We will plan on eating one of the meals at Jimmy Buffets place.Do I need to wear flip flops? : )
We were able to get tickets to see Celine Dion at Caesars palace one of the nights. I have most of her CD's so I am excited to see her in concert.
Were you out in Vegas for the Arbonne conference?

Angel,

You will love it, I just know you will. If you can go for dinner - that's the livliest time. I'm not real comfortable in "crazy atmospheres" and when I first saw how busy the place was - I almost begged out...I however, LOVED the energy that was there and am now hooked! LOL

flip flops would be awesome~!

Yes, I was there for an Arbonne conference. Had a wonderful time, and am dieing to go back to see what I didn't see!

Danita, my son and I were in the Margeritaville at the airport in Jamaica just a couple weeks ago. Been there, done that , and got tee shirts! We are parrotheads.

Have you been to his site:
http://www.margaritaville.com/

It's five o'clock somewhere!

How cool is that! YOU ROCK DOTS!

I have to wonder if it is ANYTHING like the one in Vegas. I went to "cheeseburgers in paradise" while I was in MD last summer - and was VERY disappointed!

Yes, I've made it to the website! LOVE IT!

Almostangel, my favorite place in Vegas is the Venetian Hotel & Casino. I adore the Italian restaurants and the Gondola ride, you'll believe you are in Italy for real. If you get the chance have breakfast at Paris, they offer fresh huge juicy berries with real creme and crepes....You are going to be blown away by Celine Dions show, it is magnificient and literally gave me goose bumps. Hang onto your hat for that one....Also while at the canyon try to take a river rafting ride, wow, what a white water thrill... [Wink] [Big Grin]

Chattylady, Thank you so much for the information. I added the Venetian and Paris to our list of places to visit while in vegas. I am not too sure about the white water rafting. I am a real wuss when it comes to hanging on for dear life to keep from drowning. I have let the others know about it though so they may decide to do it and they can share the experience with me when they come back.
