My company's Convention is next week in San Francisco. We are so busy that the only thing we really get to do is go out to dinner. Does any one have any good suggestions for places to eat. We all haveto watch our receipts this year, so the more cash-flow friendly, the better.

I'd go to one of those little hole-in-the-wall ethnic eateries. Some of them are every bit as good as the famous expensive restaurants, just without the decor and wine list. Chinatown of course comes to mind. Just walk up and down a few blocks and look at prices on the menus. Without alchohol, many meals can be had for under $10. North Beach has Italian food, some of the places just a little higher than Chinatown.

The pricey stuff is at and around the big hotels.

Hey Meredith,
Are you near San Francisco? If so, I wonder if you know the town of Locke, CA. I believe it's east of San Fran. My daughter lived there for a while and loved it. I visited once and it was a quaint old Chinese town on the Delta River. Kind of a hippy place.

Not related to this topic and too far for Candice.
Just wondered.

I'm 500 miles south of San Francisco and have no idea where Locke is... but it sounds nice.

You may be able to get info via the computer. Try typing in Eateries, San Francisco. Or if you have the time write the Chamber of Commerce and tell them exactly wwhat area you'll be in and ask for recommendations for good, inexpensive restaurants in their city. Usually they are happy to help out. BON-A-PETITE [Big Grin]
