From suggestions here, I purchased the Velveteen Rabbit, Why I Need You and Love you Forever.

However, after reading all three, I have decided to return the first two.

The Velveteen Rabbit speaks of "fairies" and magic. Two items that are against what I would teach my own, had I had any.

The "Why I Need You" has a line that says "I need you to find me a really fun babysitter" Our hope is that a babysitter is not one to raise this child, but that my DSD will be at home with him/her.

The Love you Forever is a charmer!

If anyone wants to purchase these two before I return them, please let me know.

Thanks for the advice, but now I know to go to a book store to read before I purchase!!

Hi Di,

Love You Forever is the very best book isn't it? You can also read books free at your public library as well.

I'm surprised you are returning The Velveteen Rabbit. My kids always loved it but I understand your reasons. When kids are little they love magical things and make believe.
