she went to the hospital in the middle of the night last night. she is back at her house now. she is dilated almost two centimeters. the baby is in position. the nurses told her they expect they will see her back there soon. i wish i had been there too because i would have been like "soon? what is soon?" I CAN NOT WAIT ANY LONGER!!! my daughter keeps telling me "mom, i am the one that has been pregnant for nine months", and i keep saying "yes dear....but... i have three kids so i have been pregnant for a total of 27 months and i was two weeks late with you so that is 27 and a half months and now i have had to wait for this grandbaby so come on already!" so hopefully girls... i will be a mamaw by maybe friday...which of course screws up the shower which is scheduled for saturday. well...they messed up her due date and we thought we had time.. oh well it matters not, all is well in sunny florida!

when my sister in law went into labor 2 months early and had her twins....we had a shower on their arrival home. It was a blast because we knew what the babies were and they got to attend the shower too. Congrats, mawmaw, you're about to begin a wonderful adventure.

She's going to have that baby on the way to pick us up. Have you thought about telling her we're coming so we don't surprise her into labor? It's so cool that we are going to be there when the baby is there. And to think all the other aunties said they weren't coming with us because they wanted to see the baby.

Just got back from visiting the little Mama-to-Be. She and pretty much all of Southwest Florida wants that baby to come ASAP, but I think she has other plans. Hopefully she can try to relax some and relieve some of the stress before she really does go into labor.

Keep us posted, Roxxie. We're all waiting. I wish we had a way to show pictures on this site. I'd love to see this new little one when it arrives. I've also got a few pix of my grandbabies I'd love to share.

Well ladies today was the day.A healthy baby girl was born.And i have to say what a beautiful girl she is.Finally shes here!!I have to say today was a very emotional day for me.Seeing her go through all that pain,but it payed off when the nurses put
her in mom and dads arms.What a sight!Thank everyone for all thier thoughts and prayers.Im guessing grandma well both grandmas will be telling you a lot more.but im sure they will be pretty busy for awhile.So i figured Id let ya know.Thank you Lord for your wonderful blessing.

Dennis and I went out to eat tonight at Pizza Hut and decided to stop by and see our newest grandchild, little Teresa, and her sister, Alex. Little Teresa is still a little tearful when strangers come by, and she doesn't see us often enough to feel comfortable with us. She did smile and coo a little for a while, but it was her supper time and she started getting fussy, so we left early. Josh hasn't gotten the job at Frito Lay, at least not yet. He is working parttime at the job where he had been working before getting laid off...but its not permanent and very sparse. I hated the thought that they might have to move away, but I don't want to see them have to struggle to make ends meet with just unemployment and Dyan's pay check either. So I hope he finds a good job soon.

Marianna Belle was born Thurs at 4:59 pm - a healthy beautiful baby. She was 7 lbs 3 oz and mommy and baby came through it with flying colors.


I'm not sure I could find the words to express the feelings we were all experiencing -- sitting there in the waiting room -- knowing it would be any moment -- but then my son trotted down the hallway and waved to us (on his way to get mommy some juice) and the smile on his face told it all

So THANK YOU ladies -- for all your prayers and good wishes -- the new adventure begins

yes..this is nillawafer and lionspaaw's granddaughter. we are both on here!!! how about that?!?!? she is the most beautiful girlie ever...well equally ever.. her mommy and auntie were beautiful girlies at birth as well! i spent the night the other night so that new mommmy and daddy would be able to sleep. (other than feedings of course for mommmy.) everyone was well rested by sunday morning. i had a great time with my daughter and new grand-baby from 2am to 4am for the 2 o'clock feeding. she fed and then we changed her into another set of matching things (socks and blanket and everything must match you know) we put little slippers on her feet for just a second and danced her around a bit and it was so fun!!!

New babies are so much fun, aren't they? We spent an enjoyable afternoon at my daughter's house for Colin's 7th birthday. Little Teresa Faith, my oldest son's newest child (5 1/2 mo.) was so sweet and cuddly. But now and then she would look at us like we were complete strangers and start wailing for her mommy. So she got passed back and forth a lot. I'll be glad when she outgrows the separation anxiety phase. She is so cute and looks just like her daddy did at that age.
Enjoy those little ones while you can. They grow up so fast, and sometimes they get so independent that they no longer want kisses and hugs.
