May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable to you heavenly father.

I was reminded of this verse by a friend in prayer group.

It about says it all. We are moving in the right direction when we can keep our thoughts and words in check.

Add to that...encourage one another and build each other up. Think of the difference we can make in the lives of our loved ones.

Thanks Dotsie. This is one of my favourite scripture verses too. It reminds me of a little song that ends with the line "Make me a sweet, sweet sound in your ear". I often reflect on what would make me a sweet sound in His ears...obviously praise and worship, but with so much inspirational material all around us...music, writings, BoomerWomen, it's pretty clear that the sweetest sound to Him must be when we all just work at getting along with each other. That doesn't mean always agreeing or conforming to anyone else's vision of who we're supposed to be, it just means accepting, encouraging and celebrating each person's unique combination of gifts and wisdom that she brings into our lives.

I've been struggling with a terrible loneliness lately. Not sure where it's coming from, but it's heavy and sad. I've surrounded myself with positive music, inspirational readings, and am talking myself out of the negativity. This morning, I turned on my music - shuffle-playing 5 CD's of Christian music - and flippantly gave God permission to play whatever song He thought I needed to hear. The very first one was Amy Grant's song about "Angels watching over me every move I make". I just had to laugh, because it was such a tender reminder that I'm not and never am alone. It really lifted my spirit.
