I am reading Prill Boyle's book "Defying Gravity-A Celebration of Late Blooming Women". I just started the fourth story and let me tell you, it is inspirational! These women accomplished things against all odds and the fact that they did them at mid-life, is even more amazing! I recommend this book to anyone. Not only do the stories keep your interest, but Prill has a very captivating writing style.

Don't you love her journaling in between? I found that fascinating! I loved her book. One of the women's story in there, Maureen's, was particularly interesting to me and I felt an instant kinship with her. I'm so glad you are enjoying it. Prill was my tablemate at the Book Em Festival in Waynesboro, VA a week or so ago. She is a delight.

Yes, the journaling is great. And as I read each story, I picture the woman telling it, what she looks like, how she sounds. I can hardly believe what some of these women overcame.
She seems like a delight. We PM'd a couple of times because I wanted to see if she knew a woman from her area, that my husband used to work for.

I certainly agree with your assessment of Prill's book.....it was full of inspiration. JJ and I have told each other that Maureen's story was our "favorite" one. It's just wonderful to read about womens' success in literally defying gravity to become what they were meant to be.

That's how I got mine! [Smile] I was going to order it anyway so the membership and the book were both bargains in my eyes.
BTW - Dotsie, I am amazed how fast my pack got here. I think it was 3 or 4 days after I joined. And I live in the middle of nowhere (according to my teens). Thanks for being so efficient.
