Ladies, I need your input!!

Does it make sense to have an order page at the back of your book with info on price and S&H, etc.?

Someone in this business recommended that I should not have the price printed on the cover, cause it may go to different countries [Confused] ?

But -how about an order form on the back? I still don't have website and my current mailing address might change in a year or so. [Confused]

Songbird, maybe you could give someone elses site info that you know or incorporate an ad of sorts as a blog. I imagine most countries know what the exchange is on our money and know what are dollars are worth in their countries. Most of the best selling books I looked at today for your question had 2 prices. One for the USA and one for Canada (always higher.) Maybe you could have an email address just for people ordering your book or wanting information. Even if you move it should stay the same I think...dunno! [Confused]

I'll put my librarian's hat on to answer this. [Big Grin]
By all means put the price on the book, but indicate the currency (USD). Those of us in other countries will realise that we pay a different rate and will compensate for it.

Put some contact details as a help to people who come across the book in the future and want to order it - even if they change in the future if it is current at the time it gives them a starting point to trace you. I assume you are self-publishing? Otherwise the publisher's details would be sufficient for people to order. Make sure the author's name and the title are clear - and the date and place of publication. These details are usually on the title page and again on the verso (back of the title page)with copyright details. Include an ISBN. Hope this helps

Thanks, Chatty and Julie, for your input. Yes, I am self publishing. Kind of makes it a little tougher! [Frown] But I'm not giving up! I'll have to figure out a way to address this issue [Smile] !

I'm gonna have to work on getting a website up and running pretty soon [Eek!] !!!! That would stay the same wether I move or not! [Wink]
