Hello BWS friends, I was asked the other day whether a wellness watch with a 'pill reminder' function would be something Boomers (which I am) would use? I'm not sure about it myself just because the family members I have that would need that are older and not technologically inclined. I would really appreciate any feedback you could give me... without it I don't think I can answer the question smile

Hi Julez, welcome to BWS.

I don't know what other members would think of such a watch. I don't personally wear a watch or take any meds where I need to be reminded of the time. So such a watch has no value for me.

But I did Google on the concept, as I think watches with timers on them do exist. Here's a link to one I found: Watch with timers for pill taking reminders

Hi Julez, After my Dad died, my Mom became very disoriented and forgetful, and always forgot to take her meds. My brother found a wonderful clock, which had big easy-to-see numbers, it had the temperature, the date, and most useful, an alarm which we could set for twice a day to remind her to take her medications. It worked very well for her. Since she lived alone and rarely ever went out, she stopped wearing her watch, so an alarm watch would not have benefitted her. This particular clock was ideal.

WELCOME Julez so nice to have you here! My mother is 91 and her sister, my aunt is 92 and they both wear a wrist watch that reminds them to take their pills. My cousin bought them the watches and says you only need set them once a month. My mother loves hers and says she might forget her meds many times without the watch. She lives in a Senior center and says several of the residents have inquired about, and bought the watches.

My mother said she'd be lost without her pill watch now.
