Dee Member Registered: 06/27/05 Posts: 2561 Loc: Alabama	Hey ladies, I am about to start planning a surprise retirement party for my husband. He's been a train engineer 36 years and talked with a friend of his today who is going to help get together the RR folks/wives/friends. I will probably rent a hall and have a meal catered in but wonder how I can actually incorporate things into the party. I know there are lots of great ideas out there and I hope you can throw some suggestions my way as far as games/ideas/thoughts on what to do at retirement parties. Hope to hear from you! Mountain Ash Member Registered: 12/30/05 Posts: 3027	I have seen several.."This is your life" presentations.when it has been teachers pupils from the past..the retiree has to guess from clues...or work collegues from the past. People add a comment to a scrapbook,..from diferent walks of the retiree's life.It takes time to put together. A poster with photographs again from all aspects..people gather to share memories. A M.C. can introduce old friends who then come in and add a spoken memory to the book that is cronological ..so maybe an old friend or two from way back.. and of course a cake....with sparklers!!!

They have party favors, paper plates, and some videos as well as costumes.
