I'm registered at 3 different temp agencies and 2 of the 3 have all told me that they have something for me and then it falls through and won't take my calls. It's very discouraging.

I applied for 3 legal positions on my own yesterday and another today and I'm not informing the temp agencies b/c I was so hoping they'd help me find work. I understand the economy of finding work; yet, don't tell me you have a job and then don't take my calls b/c there is no job.

Stay away from A p p l e O n e! I've heard of this and then it happened to me! They took my resume and then sent solicitations to my prior employers!

Yonuh, that is just terrible about the loss of work due to the housing construction industry. It's not just housing. I've been North of where you live, and there are hotels stopped mid-construction, strip malls with unfinished, and other office spaces finished, but with no occupants. The hotel is a tall ugly cement concrete eyesore. I gave my husband the list of Anne's 5 sites. When I looked over his shoulder to see how he was doing, he was looking at "Celebrity Halloween Costumes." God give me strength!

There are two lumber supply companies out of business here now; my partner's friends, who used to have thriving businesses have no income; the ripple effect is enormous!

Yonuh, I'm sorry for your partner and his friends. Yes, the ripple effect is enormous and very worrisome.
