Wow, Edelweiss. A rhyming poem on this subject. smile

I'll be seeing my parents ..upon my return from Europe this early summer.

And I don't expect news, to be any less than a bummer.

(My imagination has dried up so far.. blush)

NOW HERE'S MY POEM:

The forums are fun and sometimes funEE
But some would use poems to stir even ME

To use to give voice to what you believe
Is GREAT! Please do! But honey, let's see

Do your words hurt another by verse or by tone?
Do they shout at someone, so they leave and go home?

If they do, shame on you, can't we be heard?
Peace starts in your heart and comes forth in your words

So choose them wisely or here will be seen
One mean, whistle blowing woman, you're very own Queen

And I mean it.

Who wants a game at speaking kind words
Who wants to be kind.. to one and all
Who wants to rest at night not hurting
Search your heart and stretch out a hand
Shake with another reaching forward
Turn your back on unkind words

There once was a little kitty,
he wondered the street with no humans pity.

I saw him dart under a passing truck,
was afraid he'd be dead yet hoped he would duck.

Lucky for him he made it without sorrow,
Brought him home today where he'll live till the morrow.

My dogs seem to like him, he fits into our life,
from now on this kitten will live without strife.

I wanted to name him, he is a soft golden cream,
with huge blue eyes so he looks like a dream.

Thats it, that's what we'll name this beautiful kitty,
we'll call him Creamy, full of fun, that's the real nitty gritty...

Haven't been here,
A few days, I did skip,
Was trapped, 'twix this'n that,
Had work'n stuff to decrypt.

Peeped in, to see what's goin' on,
And found some cool poems,
Which to ponder, upon.

Love this thread,
And created juices which flow,
Glad to see other poets',
With their lights all aglow.

It seems another months come and went,
never costing most of us a single cent.

But summer is coming and if you were me,
you'd have home repairs to tackle, and they're never free.

The roof needs more shingles, the walls need new paint,
If only these handy men would remember, Rockafellar I ain't.

I'd try to do the work myself, but the ladder looks like trickery,
I'd probably follow the fate of the mouse in that poem that begins with hickory, dickory...

Oh well, what the he//, can't take it with me when I go,
it's just such a pain to have to spend so much of my hard earned dough...

Chatty,
Is that "f" supposed to be without the "o"?
In that last sentence there, you know.
Such a thing could've been intended,
Then again, maybe not.
Sounds like your house guests' best intentions,
Look like, see ya later, "I'm swingin' on the hammock."

Nope Jabber, I accidently dropped my 'o.' When I have house guests oh my yes, I am delighted when they are so comfortable they feel just lazing around is okay BUT I have yet to see one with "rot" of any kind.

By the way have you commented on my website yet?

Chatty,
I was on your website a long time ago. I tried to comment a
few times; it only went through once. But I'm working on
the manuscript rewriting so I can get it to Tide Dancer, asap.
Time is short. I come in here quickly and then get to work on Mollie's Follies. But after that's done, I'm gonna take a couple weeks off, before I start my next and most important tale. I'll check your site out again soon! Prayers and blessings,

Chatty,
I signed your editing site! That "rot" was just a rhyme; not an actual identifying condition! lol...
