If volcanic eruption lasts for weeks, it might change the spring/summer weather a tad in certain parts of Europe. As it did with a huge Icelandic volcanic eruption, back in late 1700's that Mountain Ash mentioned earlier: http://www.semp.us/publications/biot_reader.php?BiotID=222 Let's hope the eruption doesn't last for months like it did back then.  Love to hear from Edelweiss soon. She probably is stuck on the island.

Yet another day added to the air planes flying..are they filtering information..this is costing millions to the economy...in addition foods..fruit and vegatables which are flown in are affected..Wont worry me to much due to trying to eat vegetables in season locally(no air miles )
exams are affected..children on field trips are stranded.
As it is common to take an Easter break after UK's long winters many people are abroad ..
Chatty..what a kind thought to offer accomodation to bws friends..Our friends are in Europe.
Return to schools and colleges will be affected tomorrow as lecturers and teacher are amongst the travellers locally..may get called to do some supply work..

Interesting reading from my home in Stockholm..we are taking it more like one day at a time..even the stranded families. Itīs NO picinic..but there isnīt much else to be done, is there? But take it one day at a time? And find new ways of getting home..if this is possible..like busses thru Europe. It makes the trip much longer and not so comfortable..but it works.
And then hope that things will get better..not worse. There is a sister volcano that often erupts with this one..and SHE is a B---h!
