While moving furniture day before yesterday (just myself and a guy) my heavy entertainment center slipped off the dollie and landed on top of my head.

It knocked me out and when I came to, I had a big knot on my head, my vision was blurry and my speech was slurred. I came fully round but I was trembly. I finished moving all the furniture, was excessively tired that evening and slept through the night.

I woke up the next morning and took two Advil and went to work. I felt nauseous and had a diarrhea at work also felt numbness on the side of my face and head where the bump is. I left early, came home and moved the rest of the stuff into storage and took the truck back.

Its the third day and I still feel some tingling and numbness in my face and my neck is stiff. My head hurts to touch it.

Should I go to the doctor?? or is it just a bad bump?

You probably have a concousion (spelling?) I think you should see a doctor. I'm not sure what they can do but....
A friend of mine's son, fell down a flight of stairs once. They thought he was fine but later learned that he'd fractured his skull. (He's fine now)
Better safe than sorry!

Please see a doctor as soon as possible.

You could have bleeding in your brain or between your brain and your skull which may worsen and cause permanent damage. Or damage to one of the nerves and/or bones in your neck.

If you can't get in to see your regular doctor, go to a minor emergency clinic or if none are nearby, go to the hospital emergency room. The nausea and other systemic problems are definitely something to check out.

Keep us posted. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about.

I'm saying a prayer right now.

I'm concerned that we haven't heard from you since your last post when you seemed to be suffering some possibly serious symptoms of head injury.

A concussion is when your brain crashes against the skull causing a sort of bruise. A concussion can be serious if it causes hemorrhage or swelling. And there are many other things that could be causing problesm.

I'm praying for you tonight again. Hoping all is well. I will be looking for your post saying all is well.

I'm sorry ladies. I have a mild concussion and have still had to get things squared away at home, move the rest of my things into storage, work and then rest. Its very stressful right now.

I feel better today. Still painful but the numbness has subsided. I'm to take Advil every 4 hrs. and rest as much as possible.

Thank you very much for your prayers and concern.
