chatty lady Writer Registered: 02/24/04 Posts: 20267 Loc: Nevada	Those of you who remember MaMa Red, also know as Jerilynne, well would you please pray for her speedy recovery. She was rushed to the emergency room several weeks ago in excruciating pain. Many tests later and a transfer to a special hospital in Chicago showed she has a cancerous tumor on her pancreas. It is a rare form of cancer but their hoping surgery got it all. She is being cared for by her family and her mom. If anyone wants her address to send a card, PM me and I will gladly supply it. Her email to me sounded upbeat but she is far from out of the woods yet, scared, and needs to know her boomer sisters care and are supporting her. I am somewhat surprised and disappointed others of you haven't asked. It's just a card or a note and a stamp and can make all the difference in helping someone feeling so down, heal! chatty lady Writer Registered: 02/24/04 Posts: 20267 Loc: Nevada	MaMaRed was operated this morning at 9:00 a.m. and came out of the operating room at 10:30 a.m., they still need to get the pathology report but Matt her son says it looks good. She had alot of trouble with the tube being put in her throat, due to an already very sore throat and her stomach having to be completely empty is causing bad nausea. Matt said she doesn't look good yet but is asleep and as soon as she can have some broth or something besides pink sponges of water, she should start to feel better. He is keeping me posted, bless his heart, so when I know, you'll know. Okay here I go nagging again, but I'd do the same if it were on your behalf, that's just me, and: I still have her address for anyone wanting to send our very sick friend a get well card or note to show her we care and help cheer her up. _________________________ Take a peek at my BLOG: http://charleen-micheles.blogspot.com/

He said she sat up and was able to talk to Gil for about 56 minutes before sleeping. He said she was able to eat a bite of pretty good smelling beef stew, and one small carrot, some tea and 1/2 cup of orange sherbert. Baby steps! Gil took her some of her own nighties etc. so she can feel more human. Matt says that for the first night in awhile he thinks he will sleep sounder tonight. Bless his heart!
