I will not be serving cranberry sauce with mine because everyone wants gravy. Plain gravy. That's all the Priest and the cathechists want. It'll definitely congeal by the time it is served at Father's rectory but...maybe God will provide heat...or someone with a food warmer.

And, a further request to mix potato mash with swede (the root crop, not the person). For the love of God...

That's funny, Lola. I love gravy and so does everyone I've ever known. Canberry sauce just sits there.

Is potato mash the same thing as mashed potatoes? What is the root crop, swede (color, texture, taste)?

Yep. Mashed potatoes, Saundra. According to Google, swede a.k.a. "rutabaga". I sent my son to get some and he came home with sweet potatoes. Men! So, I'll use that instead and tell them it's swede. I can always go to confession later.

Oh Lola be glad for his error and enjoy the sweet potatoes... As good of a cook as I am, and yes I am bragging, even I can't make rutabaga taste good. Blah, yuk, pooey!!!
