Mine was actually built by my computer guru.

My last one was a Dell.

Mine is a combination of built stuff...and Dell...but the monitor is entirely different yet compatible. My other two are Gateway's but they're older than dirt.

I am currently using an HP.

I was a faithful MAC and Apple user for years, however. When I moved from desktop to laptop, I found the MAC just a bit too expensive for me.

HP for me, too.

I was a faithful Toshiba user (used up 2 Toshiba laptops) until a couple of years ago when the Microsoft critical update crashed my computer for the umpteenth time, so I switched to a MacBook. I love it and wish I had switched sooner; it is so much more intuitive for me. I have a program installed that lets me run Windows so I can still use a couple of programs that don't have Apple versions yet. I don't use them very often and I don't automatically install Windows updates any more. Apples are more expensive, but I won't switch back to PC. Microsoft and I just don't get along at all. The other thing I love about Apple is that when I call for help a real live person usually answers the phone and actually knows what I'm talking about, and they are usually in the US.

I have my Dell pc for ~5 years now, and it's fine.

I have Dell at home -- it's 4 years old. At work I have Apple, and a MacBook laptop. What bugs me about Dell is tlaking to India for hours and days and still not getting it fixed. With Apple, I just walk the laptop over to the mall and talk to the guys at the Genius Bar, and voila, it's all fixed.
