A dear firend of mine (that I have nknown since first grade) is going through something very similar to what I did two years ago with my mom.

Interestingly enough, my mom and her mom were best of friends too!

Her mom is in the hospital with a fairly dim diagnosis.

My friend has been an incredible daughter to her mom through the years. She is facing what she believes is the inevitable. Fortunately, they are both faithful women. [Smile]

I want to be a good friend and help her through this because, though she is married, she is an only child. Her dad died when she was in high school. [Frown]

Any suggestions on ways to make her days a little easier? What have people done for you that made a difference?

Since there are so many memories between you and your friend and your moms -- maybe you could put together a scrap book of sorts together -- not just a picture album -- but shop for together -- learn how to together -- put it together together -- a scrap book. Make sure there's plenty of laughs and good memories and have a special tissue ready for the inevitable tears.

A friend can be a very powerful thing. She's lucky to have you.
