gims,
Woooo that's some poem there gal!

I write till the words, they do run out...
When I can't think of a thing, I sit and pout.

The poetic game 'tis quite a trip,
Stuff rhymsters' say and the way it's put,
Brings smiles to my face and adds a tap to my
foot!!!

New words:
Thankful, glad, happy, sad

Welcome Yonuh, this is such fun and everyones poems are not only unique but so very imanigative...here goes the last TWO sets of words!

A man married a dancer named Bertie,
But soon found out she was too DIRTY.

She would take him to task,
Called his face an ugly MASK.

All she ever did was gripe,
Told him he married the wrong TYPE.

She made him feel like a bug,
When he was forced to sleep on the RUG.

One day the man was all a beam,
Said she served him some chocolate ice CREAM.

But alas that didn't last,
she screamed that he gulped it down too FAST.

He wished that he had been smooth,
Then her temper he might SOOTHE.

Then one night he dreamed of killing her dead,
but his fear was being caught, having to live on just water and BREAD.

WORDS: Buick, beaches, bombs, butterflies

freebie, knock kneed, left shoe, gone

Got one of those freebie flyers in the mail;
about bargain shoes, and THE great sale.

It showed sport shoes and dress shoes,
House shoes and play shoes
Right shoes and left shoes
Chow chows chewing show shoes ( say that fast 5 times)

I’m gone! I cried, while slipping into the car,
And sped down that highway to the big shoe bazaar;
Singing loud and clear, Rock Me Baby with the radio!
Rock me! I’m knock kneed, hidy ho - ho!

I screeched into the parking lot, and ran to the store,
When I saw a huge crowd standing at the door!
I covered my ears, for they screamed; ... no they roared!
“ Shoes are all gone?! We want more more more!”
mad mad mad mad mad mad mad

savvygrandmother,
I wanted to thank you for your comment about that baby poem. If a song comes on the radio that lowers my mood, the next time I hear that intro, I shut the radio off until after the tune has played. I try to keep my mood elevated with happy thoughts and uplifting lyrics. I wanted to know if that baby poem was too much of a turnoff to be included in its related manuscript. That's why I started this thread in the first place. Thanks again to those that provided feedback! Prayers and blessings!

Due to an early snow storm, I keep losing my internet connection. So if I stop mid-sentence somewhere, please think nothing of it!

Travel, dude, cash, Texas

If you're gonna travel way out to Texas,
Save your cash and cut down on expenses.
Some folks say the Commander in Chief,
Is the reason gas prices ain't so cheap.
As for my redneck dude and me, that black
lab baby that makes number three,
No time soon will anyone see,
Us make our home in Texas,
It just ain't gonna be!

New words,
Halloween, Scary, Spooks, Psycho

jabber, I so hope you don't think us rude for taking the thread elsewhere. It wasn't to take attention away from your poems... it just kind of happened - but with no ill intent. Sorry...

Gims,
I absolutely love the direction this has taken. It is
so much fun. And I wasn't real sure I should post
those original poems to begin with. Therefore, I'm
delighted this thread took a positive turn for the
better. Ever since I wrote that baby poem, I haven't been sure I should share it with anybody. I know it's
dark. Though it's true, it's a bummer. And I don't want to be negative. I prefer to be positive and if I can't
bring joy and goodness into other peoples' lives,
then I rather be a recluse, lick my wounds, and fade into the woodwork. Let's keep this on-the-spot poem thing
going. I love it!!! And you girl, are talented!

Gims: No ill-intent taken! Don't give it a second thought!
