Chatty, Your poem was great! Nick, thick; Tailand, island; dope, envelope; non-issue, tissue...that's cool, girl! And we'll have fun, fun, fun till daddy takes my T-bird away...

Yes! Come on ladies! Poems here. I started this thread, because I'd like feedback on whether or not to include that baby poem of mine in a manuscript I'm hoping [the Good Lord willing] to rewrite. I wonder if it's too much of a downer for readers to read. What say you?

Sorry, lover, scenery, flowers
While sitting under a walnut tree, My lover and I looked at the scenery.
We weren’t kissing, or anything like that, I was mad, ‘cause he stepped on a cat.
He had called it a rat. Plus he told me I’m fat.
We were a sorry sight to see, Under that shady walnut tree
But then after a few hours, He handed me some smelly flowers;
Which I gave to my goat; Baby- Frisco. Wanna find me a new man at the next disco.
Next words; fly, free, home, sweet

Home Sweet Home Somebody sent me chocolates in the mail last year I kept them in my closet and remembered they were there I opened up that sweet sweet box and found a big fat fly crying on the cherry one..I had to ask her "Why?" She said "My home burned to the ground last Winter Christmas Eve." She pouted as she wiped her little nose along her sleeve "Now that you have found me, I have no free place to go. It's cold outside and you know I can't last long in the snow" I said "Don't you worry honey, Cause here you're not alone. I put the top back on the box and said "Welcome to your Home."

The mango tree, on the north side lot, blocked my neighbors' view of our mailbox. A gal next door and one beyond, Had a bet that seemed to drag on and on. Our mailman was a lady but they couldn't see, And nobody knew if she was he or she, That is, no one knew for sure, cept me. Then one day a package came, It needed my signature, it needed my name. Off the seat and into my drive, walked the mailman with the package that arrived. The girl next door won the bet they had, For she was right and the one to believe, The mailman was a lady, she wasn't a he.
Four words: escape, male, washboard, yard
