A friend has a male friend who is having to deal with letting his daughter die with dignity. She has a blood clot in her brain due to lupus.

Where can I send them for support?

Di, I don't have an answer for you. I am sending prayers your way for all involved. Has the Father spoken to a member of the clergy? This is so terribly sad. My Mom passed due to a brain aneurysm, she didn't want any life support. God Bless them.

Di..when I was faced with having to "let" my Dad go with dignity..I was referred to the "Hospice" office in the hospital where he was being treated..the Hospice people were so unbelievably wonderful firstly with him but also with me...they were so loving and respectful and kind...and after he died they followed up with me for months...they know exactly what to do...who to talk with and they are rock solid in their support of the loved ones...have your friend contact them today!!! my prayers go out to him ...how kind you are for trying to help

Thank you! I've told them about Hospice as you mentioned. I hope they contact them.

I second Blondi's advice. We also used hospice care for mom and they were out of this world. The most compassionate group of people I've ever come across, except here at BWS! [Wink]
