I have had it with the automatic coffee makers . I had a Kulps and it broke down and leaked all over my counter in the kitchen . Then it was the "Cuisinart "that stopped all together after only six months . So, I went out and purchases what mom always swear buy and they still make them the "Farbarware" Perk coffee maker and it makes the faster and hottest coffee, and the best I have ever tasted . Now ,I did call the company and they are sending me a new coffee pot and sending the broken on back to them , and getting a new one , but will give it to a friend .

What is your favorite coffee pot ? How long have you had it ? Has anyone still using the Farberware stainless steel pots, beside me . Love to hear about your stories .

Our main coffee maker is Gevalia, set to go off at 9am every day. We also have an older Proctor Silex basic model (no timer) that we use when cleaning the Gevalia. Also something from Black and Decker that makes single serving from pods, but the pods don't taste that great.

I have an old el cheapo Mr. Coffee maker. I had Mr. Coffee Maker before this one and it lasted fifteen years. Under the counter thing. This one is on the counter and I crawl to it every single morning and push the button. It has an automatic timer so that it shuts off after a while in case one should forget to turn it off (who would do that? And you are???)....so I love my coffeemaker and I've never had one bit of problems with it. My mom has one of those expensive BUNN's and this is her second one. It has given her more problems than you can imagine.

She also has a perk one and loves it. Swears by it. She uses it now more than the Bunn.

We have the Hamilton Beach Brew Station Plus... the second one and it leaks on the counter like the first one did.
I'm about ready to find an old CorningWare perk. We go through coffee makers a bit too much. Tried all the popular ones, I think.

WHat IS it about leaking coffee pots????? I've had 3 in a row over a year and a half. Right now we have a black and decker automatic and this one will also occasionally dump coffee from the bottom!

Hey, maybe we are on to something. I also have a Mr Coffee coffe maker that I've had for about 20 years. I don't use it that often, but when I do, it always works like a dream.

I have one that makes two cups and two cups only. I don't drink coffee but have a friend that does, so this is perfect and its such a cute little thing.

Di,
I have heard those Gevalia are really good coffee makers , but I am tired of leaking puts and those that stop on me . I went with the Farberware perk and just love it now . No more auto drip for me. I just plug it in and away it perks , but you have to remember to unplug it , but still stays hot . My SIL had a Mr. Coffee that worked very well when we were their in Ala .

I say if the pot no matter what brand it is if it works after all these years , keep it .

After saving up some Amazon gift codes, I treated myself to a Zojirushi coffee maker a couple of years ago. Man, we LOVE this thing. Hubby and I are both big on coffee...have it in the morning to get going, and after dinner (we eat early due to his schedule) with a little piece of dark chocolate as our "dessert". We've always just had Mr. Coffee's and such before the Zoji. What we love is that it makes an insulated carafe of coffee that will stay hot for over two hours. This really came in handy when youngest son came home from college and got up later. I didn't have to make another pot. And since there's no warmer plate on the bottom, the coffee doesn't get that bitter taste, it's just tastes like it was fresh made.
