How lucky am I that he kept the original one? Have to say that while I had no computer I had the most peaceful day off ever. _________________________ What I know for sure is that it's all connected. The next month the fan blew out. He fixed that. The next month it blew up. Ouch, ouch, and ouch - I'm on a roll. Anne, I've heard of this happening to others. Computer man thinks a power surge did it. I refer to my hot flashes as power surges and I can believe it. _________________________ What I know for sure is that it's all connected. Every once in awhile when I'm trying to get onto my internet service the computer will suddenly pop up the blue screen of death with all kinds of gobbeldy gook and the last remark is "dumping all information". WHAT!!!! I turn off the computer at the wall socket and pray everything will be there when I plug it back in. Even the computer geeks don't know why this happens. They are a lot like children, always asking questions you're not sure how to answer or pulling some kind of stunt that leave us befuzzled. LOL Or I like Dee's idea "Pull the Plug and Pray for a full recovery!" I thought I was the only one that did that! I have a few times yanked the power cord out of the back, cause the wall plug is unhandy on a surge strip. If I were on a computer squad it would be the GOOF Squad. Saundra, I'm so glad there was not fire & you had backup.
