With Thanksgiving approaching I would like to share that I am giving thanks for the everyday STUFF that we so often take for granted. The fact that we have people to love, people that love us, food in abundance(I'd be better off with less food!), clothing, homes, laughter, health, schools for our children, church families, etc. So much to be thankful for! What are you giving thanks for this Thanksgiving?

For 13 years now I get up every morning and make lunches for the kids...by spring, I can't stand the chore...but then one day I realized how fortunate I am to have food to prepare for my kids so now, I thank God for the funniest things. I have a mantra even...thank you Father for the PBJ, thank you for my "chock full o nuts" coffee at 5am, thank you for these 15 minutes of peace before the storm, thank you for little bags of utz chips, thank you for brown paper bags...it is in all of the little, silly things that I am reminded how abundantly blessed I am by my generous holy Father. On thanksgiving, I will be thankful for the big stuff, but every day, I am thankful for the little stuff.

This Thanksgiving was a bit special because I actually had all food items ready to go to the table at the same time! I had my schedule of when I was to start water boiling, mash this ,melt that, etc.sitting in front of me on my counter. This may come easily to others , but for me it was a feat worthy of thanks.
