Carrying you and yours in my heart...

I'm reminded of something beautiful that you sent to me when I was going through a very painful time: I still have it on the bulletin board beside the computer. Here's an excerpt of what you wrote to me:

"My soul is in the safe hands of thee, most wondrous caretaker...nudging me gently forward into living and loving as far as is humanly possible."

We're all in on this 'caretaking' of each other's beings and souls - lean against our care and love for you...

Popea,
I hope you find as much comfort as I did recently, knowing that you have many friends around the world praying for you and yours. Even though we can't be with you in person, we are with you in spirit.

As the song goes..."Lean on me, when you're not strong. I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on".

Hang in there girl. Big (((Hugs))) from Australia.

You've been in my heart all day. When I was doing my prayer time this afternoon, the theme turned out to be "beauty from ashes", very appropriate for me these days, as I continue to heal from the loss of my brother. I was also reminded of a song by Carey Landry called "Dance in the Darkness" and the imagery of the phoenix rising from the ashes. I think we all possess a very powerful ability to "dance in the darkness" and to rise from the ashes of our pain and grief...with prayer, loving support from friends and family and our own faith in our power and ability to both survive and thrive beyond everything life throws at us, we can and do come out the other side of the fire stronger and more beautiful than ever.

Beauty from ashes...an odd paradox, but comforting too, somehow, and powerful. You're already what I would call a "wounded healer", so perhaps you already know from painful firsthand experience the possibility of beauty from ashes...

po got phnomonia (sp) weer the lungs fill up with water. She has some strange and as yet not quite identified bugg, hence intraviniouse antibioticks. Tommorow may tell what the bug is, i sure its not life threatning but she's on oxigene her breathing is better but the peack flow isent going above 100. (peak flow measures the volume of breath you output)

lucien dosen't quite know whats happening at the minuet as theirs so manie changies, a house move on turesday po comming and going even if he seen her in hospital he dosent quite get it, his wee mood has stabilised as he seemed quite depressed for 3 days or so not wantting to go to school becouse he was sad or even go out the door.

This was affter he recovered from his chest and ear infection then he was stire crazie to go out. When po initualie was away he got depressed and its a bit scarrie to say the lest and hard to know what to do for the best. their was some phone contact and that helped him a bit. He has seen her in hospital and i was worried about the tubes and all but he was inquisitive as kiddies are so we explaines it as pipes, he's fasinated with plumbing lol so he seemed happie with that explinasion and i think understood it.

so as well as po can you ladies spare a special wee prayer for the child and whatever area of angels looks after the wellbeing of children.
please, celtic

Hello my beloved freinds,

It has been yet more time spent away from everyone I love....I am heartsore and lonesome.

I am still in hospital, not much better yet I am afraid. I cannot keep anything down so have become very dehydrated. My big IV meds could take another few days for the antibiotics and steroids to take a good grip. They have just introduced a fluid drip........so, I am miserable and feeling heart sorry for myelf!!

I will get better....its not like its life threatening!!! Celt should be here soon...and that will more than cheer me.

In the mean while, I will probably pop in and out when I am feeling up for a moan....sorry!!!

I was hoping that Celt would be able to post an update but, I think I'd pre-empt her this time as her hands are much too full, to say the least. I only hope she won't mind.

I phoned Celt before the weekend to offer support and was updated on the situation. Po had a chest infection prior to Lucien's, then Celt. Then Po seemed to have caught it again. From the sound of it, Po has had a relapse. I have just been informed by Celt that Popea will have to stay in hospital until Friday, failing discharge on that day, perhaps Sunday. The doctors are still not sure what it is that Popea has caught but MRSI is suspect. Celt is not well herself but carries on nonetheless. With Lucien to look after and Po to worry about, it is a difficult time. I have tried to phone Po at the hospital a few times but could only leave a voice message the last time. The phone charger's on its way and hopefully, I would be able to contact her sometime tonight and Celt as well. I shall relay all your wishes. Please continue to carry our very loved friends in your prayers.

Hi Ladies,
once again, thanks for the prayers and concerrns.....they do mean alot.
I am still in hospital being treated for the original symptoms, and some 'bug' which I have picked up here!! The staff are all being sooo vague about it.

Celltic and the we.manare also still out of sorts....and in the middle of the house move!!!!!!

I will pop in again and keep you all posted during these wee reif interludes of not feeling so poorly.

Much Love

Popea

well it was nearlie 3 weeks in hospital and she been poorlie when she got home. the chest problems then the stoefocockiliea bug, then as we been informed yesterday the antibiotick drip gave po some type of mild blood posining, yes thats right, blood posining, so she been verie poorlie but bouncing back. She in the house and i think thats better than hospital.

the house is in order but not decorated or as i would like it best but it will get their. i took lola's advice and slowed dowen a bit and worried less as i didn't want another relaps with my owen helth as it was i had 2 courses of antibioticks and a steroid tablets, i had to get my owen chest x-rayed sinces the infection was so resiliant to drugs and i weezed so bad but it got better enough that i din't get round to doing it. Lucien got better aswell, everie one i know has been getting this infection and its been flooring everieone. still we all survived.

i am happie lola has been updated you all as i been texting her, the mobile was the onlie form of communicasion and to boot the reception is so bad in the house the call got cut off often so it been verie frustrating. The best that could be done was texting

Hello there my freinds.....thanks Celt for giving me the rarest!!! 'bug' known to only your own sweet wee(dyslexic) self!!! It was a staphoccocoli...not the mrsi as first was feared! Then septicemia...and nuttin mild about it at all!!!!

My own Gp informed me of this wee detail when I popped in for a routine...he was a tad upset to say the least(with the Hospital). Wants regular weight checks...and me off the fags before London! I ain't great yet and at least I am home and on meds to help the recovery process!

Again, I cannot tell you how much it meant to pop in when I was very poorly and have a wee read or post a little....the support is as usual... awsome, from my boomer sisters.

My bed beckons now...been up too long today! Thanks again girls.

Be posting like a good one soon enough

Big Love

Popea

Celtic and Popea: I hope you girls have better days coming your way. Sad to know all the troubles you've been through, but praying it all subsides and you can enjoy each new day. Stay positive. Blessings!
