I seem to be having some blood pressure issues -- it skyrocketed on Friday. I went to the ER, but they couldn't figure out anything (no heart attack). It's still high. I need to make a doctor's appointment -- I just hope it's nothing too serious and can be controlled easily.

I stopped taking meds about a year ago because of insurance issues -- not that the meds were expensive, but the continual doctor visits and lab work was. I also don't like my doctor and haven't had the energy to find a new one. So I'm stuck going back to her -- which just makes my BP worse. She always seems so judgmental.

Please pray that this is easily taken care of. Thank you, ladies.

You got it Casey. Just one piece of advice. The months before my heart attack (2 years ago this month) my doctor found nothing but blood pressure and migranes as being a problem. No matter what I said, no big deal. Then a heart attack.

These symptoms are real. Take care of yourself, please!

Casey, do you take anything? Hormones and too much magnesium can cause heart problems. I know...I took both, and after stopping the intake, my blood pressure normalized itself. Just a thought.

Thanks to you all and for your suggestions. I haven't been taking hormones, so that's not the culprit -- it's probably stress :-)) I just have to believe and behave like it will be better and at the same time take care of myself. Not easy for a control freak like me! LOL!

Were the meds you were taking for your blood pressure?

Thanks for asking for prayers. I'll put you on my list.

I'm on it, Casey. Didn't I read something about you spending too much money on your book because of your pubisher? I can't find that post now. where is it? That might have done it.

Most of all Casey watch the salt, no more than 1500 mg. per day, less if possible. Salt it is a killer...Drink plenty of water too. Eat fruits, and veggies. Stay away from cookies, cakes, white 'anything' and also read labels they put dam salt in everything....

And watch those frozen dinners. I had been eating healthy choice for a while, when my cardiologist pointed out the salt intake.

And I thought I was eating healthy.

Thanks all! I actually eat pretty healthy -- organic and we make our own meals. I, too, was horrified at all the salt in "healthy" frozen meals. Yes, I have heard about the garlic pills. Right now, I'm working with my "regular" doctor and my Ayervedic doctor and my coach (on stress).

You're right Saundra, I am paying out a lot more for my book than I'd planned. In fact, money is the crux of the problem -- well, money and my relationship (or lack thereof) with it.

I can feel all that love coming -- thanks!

Casey,

I woke up thinking about you this morning. I know that you know the right things to say to yourself...you say them to clients everyday...and you help them...but when it's you...it's so much harder to believe...

So I'll believe for you...I know you...you have a wonderful heart and a wonderful message...whatever has blocked the flow of money (energy) around it has had a purpose...we don't have to understand what it is...maybe some self-discovery going on...some lesson...who knows...but as you gently love yourself...and allow yourself the fullness of this experience...the blocks will melt like blocks of ice on a sunny California afternoon...and the money (energy) will flow like a raging river to your door...(probably the river came from the melting ice...that was Bertha's take on it )

One question that I try to ask myself is..."Am I okay in this moment?"...and usually I am...I'm usually worrying about what could happen in a future moment...

Take care...I'll believe for you...

Thank you, Jane...you are so very wise...and Bertha, too. Yes, it's easier to tell that type of thing to clients. In my head I know it, but the work (the joy?) is to get it into my body and heart....
Bless you.

Casey, i´m pretty new to this forum..but i am praying for you and thinking of you.. i promise.

i have blood pressure problems too..but i do take my meds. and i sort of think you should too..for your sake. if nothing else, you´ll probably feel better.

Do you ever have time to take a walk or something? I am NOT trying to stress you out with more "to-do´s", but that kind of thing could bring your pressure down somewhat..maybe..and if you wanted to..and had the time..which you probably don´t because you seem to have an awful lot on at this time..

I don´t know you like the others do..but you do have my prayers and thoughts...

I checked out you sites and put one on my favorite list.. I agree with Jane Carroll..you have so much within you..all you have to do is find it..get in touch with it..and I believe, too..in you! Good Luck! and my prayers go with you!

On a lighter note, my "sambo", the man I am currently living with (after my divorce) is 34 this year..so yes, i read about older women and younger men..o, i am 60 this year.. and so far everything is fine between us..now this could mean i am terribly immature .. lots of love

Humlan, you rock! One of my beloved 74 year old friends had a 35 year old boyfriend for a while....:-))

Thank you all for your wishes and good prayers. Yep, I walk..I do yogo...I meditate...I just got a new CD with alpha waves...I'm eating so healthy it is disgusting!

I'm taking my medicine. Right now the doctor has me on 20 mg of Lisinopril -- for all of you who like to know that stuff!

My BP is now around 160/101 -- still too high, but not knocking me out like it was before.

I'll keep you posted. My full intention is that I learn the lesson that I'm supposed to, regain my full health and rock the world!

Been thinking about you, Casey, and hoping all is well.

I had my boobs smashed today and all is clear but I go for my physical next monday. I eat healty one week before, hoping for a good report. How crazy is that? Cholesterol is my problem and I'm allergic to statins so that's not good.

P.S.

We got a call today that one of my husband's long time friends killed himself by taking poison! Isn't that an awful way to die? He left a suicide note so it was intentional.

I'd like to ask all of you to please pray for his three children.

Oh, dear Dianne, I'm so sorry to hear about such a tragedy. It is so hard on the families when a suicide takes place, unimaginable!

My prayers for this family and your husband too! It is sad that many have no hope and find no reason to live for! He must have been going through a lot!

So very sorry to hear about your husband´s friend..he must have felt desperate and desolate, at the time, to take such a step..it is a enormous step to actually do it..for everyone near to the person..but even for him that did it..

I am praying for him and his loved ones..

Diane, Yes -- I will keep the children in my prayers.

My dad committed suicide and it's not an easy thing for children to live with (even though I was 33 at the time). I hope they are getting counseling of some sort.

In spirit,

An update of sorts...the BP is still high, but more and more alternative health practitioners (I know a lot of them) are pointing to my kidneys as the physical cause, with stress as the underlying cause. I'm working on it -- my need for perfection and concern about the future being the 2 biggies in my stress life.

Thank you all for your well wishes as I continue to explore this new hand that my life has dealt me...:-))
