Sunny day today, so I got off bike in a hip, high-end fashion retail shopping area with boutiques, cafes... Every time, I do this..which is only every 3-4 months, I am in awe..of my own fashion ignorance.

For instance, just clued in that the in-fashion is hip long tops, which on the rack look like tiny sundresses. I honestly thought the fashion was mini-length sundresses.

orchid, I've been trying to figure those tops out too. I guess they could be worn as mini dresses too. Not by me, but by some! I'm also guessing they could look like maternity dresses too since they're so full.

I am definitely fashion challenged! I hate shopping for clothes. I wish I had someone that could shop & pick out stylish flattering clothes for my expanding voluptuous boomer body!

Spandex doesn't do it for me any more!

I found a really cute halter top that I liked and bought. I surprised myself. It's not the real revealing kind. I think it's tasteful. It's black with a little white design. I plan on wearing it with white pants. We'll see.

Any new purchases for spring/summer?

I bought a brilliant rich purple summer top with white floral outline design ..has a casual satiny sash to tie up or whatever. Long sleeves (which did I really need that?)

From here. It's a local Vancouver design firm that sells at ok (but not totally cheap) prices.

I am seriously thinking of getting my money refunded. I've never had a top like the one I bought. After bringing it home, it makes me feel ...old-fashioned and middle-aged. I love insulting myself.

It is a top one can wear any season.
