Several years ago my siblings and I threw a huge 50th anniversary party for my parents. We invited all the people who were still living that had been in their wedding, all the family and friends we could think of, rented a place, had it catered, introduced them, played their song, did speeches, laughed, cried, danced, carried on, took pictures, the whole nine yards!

Oh yeah, we also had an anniversary brunch with only thier children, grandchildren and family friend/priest. He performed a little ceremony with them repeating their wedding vows. It was so sweet and memorable! [Big Grin] [Wink]

I'm so glad we did that. It was the last time before Mom died that she got to see everyone for a happy occasion. She hadn't been diagnosed with cancer at the time, though we look back and realize she was losing weight and in pain while preparing. We had no idea it was anything serious. You just never know!

Any celebrations to share?
