Just wondering if there are many full-time homemakers in your neighborhoods these days. We definitely have them and it's refreshing to see. Many of them walk their kids to the nursery school across the street and the playground up the street. Boy does it bring back memories of when I was doing the same. This was a great time of year to be a stay-at-hime mom. Everyone came outdoors after the long, secluded winters.

I was for 12 years a stay at home Mother .I kept so busy and now my children are grown I am glad I did this.
I used evenings in winter to go to night school and my circle of friends and I networked. We exchanged plants did sewing together and all loved all of our children. Then when I found work I always had school holidays.I feel blessed that this was my "lot"
I loved keeping an open door for all and had so much energy.

I loved the years I was able to stay home with my kids as well. I don't really live in a neighborhood...but my daughter is staying home with her daughter...but that seems to be more the exception where she lives...

I'm a stay at home mom. I write full-time so I'm here even though I'm working. I left my social work job three years ago. My daughter is a teenager so she doesn't need me as much, but I think she still enjoys me being here when she gets home.
