Saturday, hubby, daughter and I flew to Orlando to visit our youngest son at college. What I didn't know was that hubby was flying in our oldest son from college in SC to surprise me. Yahoo, the gang's all here and I'm loving life. It will be very short-lived, but it's sweet because I didn't think we'd all be together again until July.

We've spent the day lounging by the pool, riding bikes, playing nine holes of pitch and putt golf, riding assorted water bikes and canoes, etc. I am feeling very blessed and just wanted to share this good news with all of my girlfreinds here at BWS.

What do all of you do for family vacations if the kids have already flown the nest?

"We are family," is going through my head. These are the family moments that you learn to enjoy more intensely when your children are out of the house. Sounds wonderful, Dotsie.

We usually meet at a lake and sail together. We haven't vacationed with our sons and their families since they have moved out. I would love to do that, but it's coordinating free time that is so difficult. The wives work as well. So we do daily excursions, or just meet at our house and barbeque.

Haha..JJ...yes I can relate to that too. Our youngest son got a big time job now...and I think that 'exchange'chapter is fianlly over with. Oddly enough, now that he doesn't 'need' us...he's more around than ever before.

Yeah Goergia, there's lots of that going on with our kids since they are all in college. We just payed our oldest son's last college payment. Yahoo. He comes off the family payroll very soon.

That's so sweet. Those times seem to get fewer as the kids get older. "sniff"

That sounds like a blast of a vacation! Well, for Spring break, our Spring Break, we went to see many Grapefruit League baseball games on the West Coast of Florida. Oh, it was heaven. We had so much fun and combined the visit with a trip to see our daughter and her family. We came back tan and relaxed but the sad part was it was back to work and then the weather here got very cold. Anyway, it was the kind of vacation I would recommend.
