It's all over the news with a picture of a living cow. They (the universal they) want us to eat cloned beef! It will not be marked as cloned, only as beef. I'm sure it's cheaper to produce and isn't that what's important. Are you ready? I say, "No way!"

This is when things really start shaping up like Soylent Green. I think consumers must be informed. Supply against demand.

Why don't Americans ask why this is absolutely forbidden in Europe? Do they really want to be the guinea pigs for the whole world?
Consumers should have more say about this.

I think it's disgusting. I don't like that they aren't going to label it either. I may become anorexic because I'll be afraid to eat. I'm a steak eater and I don't want fake steak! How dare they sneak it in on us?? !! It will cost less for them to make and more for us to buy and we won't even know if we are eating the cheap fake steak and paying for the real deal. What next? Will they clone pigeons and seagulls? One will fly over the marina and I won't know if it's a real gull or a cloned one. Gross!!

Screw the FDA, they approved it not because its safe but because "big BROTHER business" crossed their palms with lots and lots of dinero and perks. What do they care if they kill or disease a million or more Americans, as long as they get rich...I would BOYCOTT all red meat. Ladies we control the purse strings and we can MAKE our displeasure/voices heard through those purse strings. Its not like we don't have enough diseased animals born naturally to slaughter and eat, NOW they want to produce even more for us to murder and consume. Who are they kidding?????? Do not let them get away with this. When all the beef starts to rot on the counter they will get the message.

Once again, our Chatty has the answer. When/if it hits the shelf I agree to stop buying all red meat. And you thought solidarity stopped in the 80s...

I agree with Chatty and I could quite easily stop eating beef since I seldom eat it now. However, I watched a TV news clip where people were saying although it sounds "gross", they are sure it will be safe. So see? Ya just know they'll buy the stuff anyway.

I just don't understand this whole thing. I don't understand how they "make" a cow. If they can do this with an animal, they can do it with people. It freaks me out.
