What to do when you don't know what to do - 04/16/04 04:32 PM

I have a couple people in my life who are at a cross road due to separation, illness, or burn out.

While I was at the book store the other day I found this book, What to Do When You Don't Know What to Do: God Will Make A Way, by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend.

I highly recommend this book for anybody. You don't have to be in a place of change to learn from it.

Their advice is broken down by chapter and fairly self explanatory:

Begin with God
Choose companions wisely
Place high value on wisdom
Leave your baggage behind
Own faults and weaknesses
Embrace problems as gifts
Take life as it comes
Love God with all you are

Great list, isn't it?

It's a quick, easy read. Very enlightening and inspirational. Only 84 pages! Copyright, 2003.

Dotsie, I have practically every book the people at New Life put out. They are wonderful. Here is their web address if you'd like to listen to their radio show.

Nice sight. Thanks for telling me about it. Could you submit any of your work to them?

Hi, Dotsie. I listen to their radio program on the web. It's nice 'cause I can zip right through the commercials. [Big Grin]

As far as I know, they've never asked for any kind of writing. They are all prolific authors.

Glad you liked it!

I finished the book and loved every word of it. It's so encouraging and uplifting. I'm buying it for a couple people in my life and giving it to them. I'm hopeful they'll appreciate it and not consider it an insult. [Roll Eyes]

I must share that I gave this to my sister who was just diagnosed with DCIS breast cancer.

The book has been a blessing to her. She shared that she's read it and highlighted it and has referred to it when I've been on the phone with her.

I jsut love books that are so uplifting! [Big Grin]
