Ladies, I am helping a college student with a project she is doing. I don't know her really. She emailed and asked if I could help her with this survey. I thought, what the heck. So here you go. You can answer right here if you wish. Thanks.

I'll go first:
1. How often do you do you go to the beach?
few times a year
2. How often do you wear swimsuits?
summer and occasional tiems sduring off season when we travel
3. How many swimsuits do you own?
too many that I don't wear
4. Where did you purchase your bathing suit and for how much?
any place I could find one that fit
most recently at Water, Water Everywhere and spent too much on two new ones
5. What brand is it?
I'm recalling Cole and Lauren
6. How satisfied are you with the ones you own? If not satisfied, why not?
I like two that are tankinis. They are a littlemore youthful than the others. One is black with white trim and I like the white trim because it shows off a tan. IT also has great boob support.
7. Do you prefer 1 piece or 2 pieces? Why?
two, but never showing tummy
one pieces aren't long enough for me and cut my shoulders
8. How much are you willing to spend on swimsuits?
depends on my mood
9. How concerned are you about getting tan lines?
not much
10.What fabric do you prefer in swimsuits and why? (cotton, spandex, nylon, etc)
spandex because it has better support

solid with a bit of white thrown in

not much

Don't remember. Usually get them at a department store and spend no more than $60 each.

Couldn't tell you.

The suits are all fine, it's my body that's not. I'd wear one a lot more often but I'm afraid to be seen in it.
7. Do you prefer 1 piece or 2 pieces? Why?
I like both, but right now I only have one-pieces to hold me in everywhere.
8. How much are you willing to spend on swimsuits?
I'd probably go as high as $75, but it better look great, not fade, and be well made. Is that asking too much?
9. How concerned are you about getting tan lines?
No tan lines in the strap/back area would be great. Leg areas aren't an issue for tan lines.
10.What fabric do you prefer in swimsuits and why? (cotton, spandex, nylon, etc)
Whatever holds me in, looks good, doesn't fade, washes well.
11.What color/pattern swimsuits do you prefer?
I like the shirred sides because it seems to be slimming. I also prefer a scoop neck, but so many suits have a v-neck. I have a long torso, so the v-neck makes it look longer. Colors - find something slimming that's NOT black!
12.How often do you shop online?
Constantly, but would not buy a suit online. When I buy a swimsuit, I probably try on about 30 before I buy one!
PS: Can I get a matching wrap included? I don't want to spend another $40 for a guazy piece of material that matches; include it in the price.

1. During the summer? Every sunny pleasant day.
2.Always.
3. I own 2.
4. Both purchased by post order..about 50 dollars = sum of both
5.no special brand..don´t know
6.Pretty satisfied
7.2 piece..my tan is important to me
8.around 25 - 30 dollars
9. not so concerned..fill in the lighter places with toned tanning lotions
10. Spandex, I think
11.usually one color..like black, sky blue
12. never..but I do use post order..

It is a swimsuit made by a dance wear label... they may not even carry a swimsuit line anymore... I can't remember the brand name, but if I saw it in print, I'd know it

Tan lines are one thing I don't care for. For me personally, it would be a major consideration.

Heavy spandex, something that conforms, firms, but doesn't reveal detail features of a woman's body - I think you know what I'm talking about. Cotton crotch is a must.
11.What color/pattern swimsuits do you prefer?
Solid color, maybe with accents. nothing busy... color choice would depend on the degree of a tan and skin tone

Rarely, except for books

9. How concerned are you about getting tan lines? Sorry, I dont' lie out in the sun anymore. I don't need to when I get so much sun exposure while cycling. Preservation of soft skin is important to me....for past decade or so.

11.What color/pattern swimsuits do you prefer? Bright colours look very good on me. Bold beautiful prints, not too large florals because I am petite in build.

One piece. Age, modesty and I don't lose a one-piece as easily as I would with a top or bottom.

Spandex because of ease and the best fit for me.

I live 20 miles from beaches and go sporadically all year long.
The last bathing suits I bought were 20+ years ago and skimpy. Probably all stretched out by now but I haven't worn them in ages. My preferred beach attire is gym shorts, gym bra, sun screen and big hat. I don't swim.

Usually I take a beach vacation once in the winter, somewhere warm, for a week, and I spend two or three weekends at a lake home in the summer. Wish it were more often.

I don't like strap lines and look for bathing suits that I can undo the strings around my neck or straps over my shoulders and it will stay UP!!

Never, for a bathing suit.......it's definitely something I'd have to try on to buy. I don't do any clothes shopping online because I'm never sure what size is going to fit and have to try everything on......sizes are too screwy these days.
