Attending conventions

First, I have to laugh that I attended a conference for me! Remember that I have been a stay at home mom until this book idea. All the conferences I have attended in the past 18 years have been with my husband and children for his profession, or a retreat through a church.

Anyway, I attended a writing conference for women and had a blast. My niece,(my editor) attended with me and she is good at this conferemce thing because she helps plan the one for the association she works for.

I met lots of interesting women and learned lots of great advice for getting my book published. I feel pumped to keep moving onward!

I highly recommend conferences to keep women motivated. There is nothing like being with a group of women who are willing to encourage and support you!

You should be pumped. You had a great idea and you have worked hard to make it happen. This was the first of many conferences for you. Before long, your husband will be going on your trips...for book signings, etc. Way to go girlfriend!!!!
