New Rocker/Recliner... - 06/02/10 09:54 PM

My new chair was delivered today and it is just gorgeous, its burgundy and looks like velvet but isn't. It's a Franklin product. I opened the computer to R.C. Willey Furniture and scrolled through the chairs and saw it and fell in love. Plus I got a great deal, saved $100.00. I ordered it on the internet and it was in my home a mere three days later. No muss, no fuss. One doesn't need to beat down the doors anymore simply open up the computer and shop. I love that!!!!

How wonderful Chatty. I love new furniture. Especially the comfy chairs. And you're right, the net has made shopping painless. Congrats!

Burgundy velvet? Oh my that sounds fantastic! I'd rather
shop online than get tired feet trying to find what I want in
at a shopping mall.

Chatty, you made it so easy! When we (my hubby!) needed a new recliner, we went to LaZBoy and even though many recliners looked alike, he had to sit in each one to be sure it truly "fit". Our old recliner from LaZBoy lasted 18 years. This one is only 2 years old and already the mechanism creaks in an ominous way; they don't make them like they used to.

I know what you mean about internet being so practical, especially if you aren't that mobile.

But as long as I can, I shop at the stores first. I don't like the idea of ghost towns, and that is what will happen if we purchase everything through internet.

A comfy chair belongs in every home. Enjoy, Chatty!

Edelweiss,
I don't like the idea of ghost towns, either. But what I don't understand, is why, when one plaza is empty, they turnaround and
build another, leaving nothing but emptiness stretching across
a plot of land.

Someone just finishing building the cutest strip mall near where I live and in a well used area but now can't find anyone to rent even one. People are afraid to commit due to the unemployment and no one knows how bad it will get even still. Very sad! Plus so many other stores are boarded up already.

When you think about it, the internet has squelched lots of things. It diminished the newspaper business; shopping malls;
letter writing, therefore mail delivery; etc., etc. Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining about the net. I love the net. Just
think, it brought all of you, into my heart! Gotta love that!

It was money but now its empty space where the money use to be. The month of April killed me financially but onward and upward is my mantra...Looks like I'll need to go back on the phone lines, thats what I do when times are tough. Luckily I still have it. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
